But looking at the result while working with wood (and not the hardest) I can hardly believe it.

To summarize everything that has been written here, I can say that it is difficult to consider this head as a basic tool. Yes, it is possible to use an engraver as a small cutter, but that would only make sense for soft materials like plastics. In other cases it is of little practical use. So it’s more just another accessory that 99% of the time will gather dust on the shelf than a tool that adds function.
