To check the cutter bar, remove it from the bar and inspect the plane of contact with the guide bar. If the cutting teeth are really worn, it means that the chain should be replaced without trying to sharpen it.

The main reason for accelerated chain wear can be irregular lubrication of the saw chain. If it is not running smoothly, the chain will be lubricated in parts. As a result, teeth that are not supplied with oil will heat up more quickly and wear out.
