- Attach the laser transmitter with a transparent LED on a prefabricated base. Solder the ruler perpendicular to the base. This makes it easy to attach the guide rail to the base of the jigsaw.
- Check that the laser line is straight. To do this, connect the transmitter from time to time to the power source.
- Connect the guide to the batteries which will act as the power source. To do this, one wire is soldered directly and the other is led through the switch button. Experienced craftsmen recommend connecting the off button of the device with a 5 ohm resistor, which helps lower the voltage. This will increase the life of the guide several times.
- Attach the device to the base of the jigsaw. For this purpose you can use scotch tape, epoxy. It is not excluded also the possibility of mounting directly in the case. This will be possible if space is available.

Electric jigsaw is a type of reciprocating saw with a cutting element (blade) in which the rotational motion of the electric motor is converted into translational motion of the saw in the form of oscillatory movements with a frequency of up to 50 cycles per second. It has a significant backlash, which negatively affects the resistance of the LOBZIK to the saw’s deflection. The more expensive and high-quality tool has a larger diameter roller, has a deep groove width of 1.4mm.

If the roller mounting is rigid with minimum backlash, the tool will not fail in operation. If it is not securely fastened, straight sawing is not possible. Ideally, the roller and fork on which the roller is mounted should be free of play. Some models of the Saws are equipped with a slightly different system to prevent the saw from moving away. It consists of two hard-alloy “knuckles” that are screwed to the BASE and prevent the saw from bending. This system requires regular adjustments for each type of saw, but at the same time allows to fight lateral movement more effectively than in LOBZIKA with a supporting roller. Of course this design has its disadvantages. the setting is more labor-intensive than for LOBZIKS with a supporting roller. The procedure itself is not difficult, but it takes time. Another disadvantage. flat sawing at an angle is problematic: the base plate is designed in such a way that when the plate rotates, the “knuckles” cannot support the saw. And although the soleplate is pivoting, sawing at an angle is done without support for the saw blade. But LOBZIKS with support roller are free of these disadvantages. Although they are not as accurate, they are more convenient for tool changes and don’t “care” about TILTING OF THE SUSPENSION.
To hold the blade more securely in place, Bosch has installed additional clamps on the GST135CE and GST135BCE. They are set under the supporting roller and if necessary act as additional holders of the saw blade, which allows to make cuts in the wood up to 135 mm thick., sawblade deflection is practically negligible.
PENDULUM MODE. A few words should be said about the mode with additional longitudinal blade oscillation or MAYATNIK. MACHINE MOTION is a special sawing motion where it undercuts the material as if from below. This feature significantly increases cutting speed. Almost all LEADSWATCH saws today are equipped with the FLASHING BUTTONY MODE. Exceptions may be the very basic BLACK DECKER and Makita models. Usually there are 3 or 4 MACHINE settings, more rarely 2 or 5. Each successive mode generates more vibrations than the preceding one. It really does not matter how many FLASHING MODE positions the LOBZIK has. Most importantly, it makes the work of the LOBZIKA very easy.
The main thing to remember is that the MAYATNIK mode is mainly used for quick sawing when the quality of the cut is not of prime importance, e.g. rough cut of boards, facing of large quantities of boards. Other materials are cut when BLACK DECKER MODE is OFF. Curvilinear sawing is also done without using the MACHINE. the sawing speed is higher than usual and it would be very difficult to maintain the required dimensions.
SAW BLADE FASTENING. One of the important details to pay attention to is the way the saw blade is fastened. There are 2 types of attachment. CLICK AND LOCK. Similar to the DRILL. the first one, as its name suggests, does not require an additional tool for fastening the saw blade. This type of mount saves time when changing saw blades, thereby increasing productivity. But it should be noted that the BLACK CLAMP is important for professional saws. The domestic ones are less reliable. The second type of attachment uses an Allen wrench to tighten the fastening screws. We can divide the saw blade clamping into two types: the first type is the clamping by two frontal bolts, the second type is the clamping by a side screw. The first type (characterized by simplicity) has been common on LOBZIKA for quite some time, but there are disadvantages when using it. First of all, it does not allow you to quickly change the saw, and if the bolts are tightened unevenly, it is possible to skew. If this happens, the operation must be repeated, which, however, does not guarantee that the saw can be secured on the second or third time. The system with a side bolt is more reliable, but does not allow you to change the jigsaw as quickly as with the keyless system.
