Combustion of a greater volume of fuel increases the amount of energy produced, which affects the power and speed of the processes. The choke is mounted on a shaft passing through the entire carburettor body. On the shaft outlet from the housing, there is a mount for the throttle cable and next to it is a cone-shaped adjustment screw, which is responsible for adjusting the idle speed. By screwing the screw you can slightly adjust the position of the shaft and the choke attached to it and thus increase or decrease the idling speed by opening or closing the choke.
The choke of the carburetor is installed on the opposite side from the throttle and is responsible for starting a cold engine, it is controlled by the engine control lever. For a cold start the air damper is completely closed, for normal operation the air damper is opened.
