For tilling over 8 cm depth, as well as for tillage of heavy soils the tines are mounted with the bow tilted down by 2-3°, which corresponds to the gap between the rear end of the tine and the ground surface, which is respectively 8-12 mm for 270 mm tines and 10-15 mm for 330 mm tines.

The position of the frame is checked by measuring the distance from the platform to the rear and longitudinal bar at diagonally opposite corners. this distance has to be the same.

KPS-4 cultivator has a device for mounting medium-sized tine harrows. When cultivating with simultaneous harrowing, adjust the length and position of the harrow tines. The distance from the rear tine legs to the front tine row of the harrow should be 500-600 mm, and the harrow tines should be set at an angle of 8-10° to the horizon. Choose the length of the harrow suspension chains in such a way that in the transport position the rear ends of the harrow would be 200-300 mm off the ground.
