  • Remove the tip of the high-voltage wire;

How to start a cold chain saw if the spark plug channel is constantly flooded with gasoline? You can eliminate the problem before you start the tool by using the following algorithm:

  • Unscrew the spark plug with a special wrench;
  • Wipe it down with a clean, dry rag;
  • Allow to dry for 20 to 30 minutes;
  • Remove soot with a file and adjust the gap between the electrodes;
  • Drain the remaining fuel from the spark plug channel and dry it;
  • Reassemble everything and try to start the machine.

These measures are usually sufficient to start the chainsaw and get the job done. However, this extreme measure does not eliminate the main reason for not starting or stalling the engine. improper operation of the carburetor, which needs fine adjustment.

  • Place it on a flat surface, such as a table. Position the throttle so that the chain is not pointing toward you;
  • To determine the highest operating frequency of the motor, turn the L screw first to the right, then slowly turn it to the left. Listen to the engine’s operation;
  • After detecting the maximum rpm by ear, turn the L control in the opposite direction of the clockwise movement by 1/8 or one-quarter of a full circle;
  • The idle speed is adjusted according to the same principle. First turn it to the right side until the chain starts moving, then turn it to the left until it stops again;
  • The H screw should be set so that no extraneous noise is audible when the engine is running without load and at maximum frequency. If there is too much exhaust and the saw begins to make an unpleasant clanking noise without a load, the mixture is over-enriched. By turning the screw H clockwise you can adjust the opening angle of the throttle.
