In this video, we use wedges to split large blocks of stone, these are pieces of old marble. Old stones often chip away at small stones no matter how evenly you try to split a large stone. But such a stone can still be chopped and used with wedges. During the splitting process there are always surprises be careful!
Do not drill shallow holes, such as half a drill bit.
The depth of the wedge hole is chosen according to the length of the wedge, not the petals. For example, for a 12 cm long wedge, with 6-7 cm petals, the holes should be drilled at least 12 cm deep. If the wedge is hammered in completely, it should not strike the stone.
