Assembling the device
When making your plow drawing, you will need to depict the following assemblies:
Blade is made of alloy steel. But the shield can be made of steel St3. The same is true for the spacer plate and the plate for the base. The role of the field board will be an angle with a 30 mm shelf. As for the stand, it will be based on a 40-mm tube. All parts of the device should be made of thick cardboard, and then connected to each other at the right angles. If all parameters are satisfactory for the cardboard model, you can begin to work with the metal workpieces.
Performing a plow for a motor-block with your own hands, you will need to use an auxiliary steel sheet of square shape with a side of 500 mm. Its thickness should be 3 mm. Prepare a welding machine as a tool. Use wedges with a 25˚ angle to lay the coulter onto an auxiliary sheet. On both sides after that, the parts are tacked with spot welding.
The side plate of the stand is docked with the ploughshare in a vertical position so that the edge overlaps the edge of the ploughshare. The overlap should be 7 mm. The side plate has to be 10 mm higher in relation to the coulter blade. It is important to keep in mind that the ploughshare must cut through the soil.
The mouldboard is then fitted to the share so that there is no gap. Parts must form one piece. The angle between the top edge of the mouldboard and the share’s blade should be about 7˚. Making a drawing of a plow for a motor-block with your own hands, you must provide for the attachment of the ploughshare, which will consist of several parts, namely:
The plow to a tractor is self-made Саморобний двохкорпусний плуг до Shifeng 240 Отзив експлуатації
The screw should have a countersunk head. As for the angle, you should take two; one of which will have a 30 mm shelf, the other 90 mm. If you are faced with the question of how to make a plow for a motor block, then you should know that when assembling you may find that the edges or corners do not match. The oval is refined with a big hammer. After fitting the mouldboard to the rear of the share it should be spot-welded, using the same principle as with the side plate. The latter is welded to the base plate and spacer bar. At the base to the plate it is necessary to strengthen the corners for the stop.
After that, the tool is inspected, and then it can be overhauled. The auxiliary sheet is removed afterwards, because it was used for assembly. it can be separated from the body with an angle grinder or a chisel. In the first case, a cutting wheel is used. The corners of the stop are welded to the base plate in the next step. After the welding work is completed, the seams should be cleaned and the blade and ploughshare surfaces should be sanded down.
Rotary plough on a single axle tractor: advantages of the machine
Has the most advanced shape for plowing stubble and weeds to a depth of about 30 cm. The rotary homemade plow includes:
The single–axle tractor used for this implement must have a power take-off shaft in good working order. That’s what drives the axle, and it drives the plowshares.
Rotary ploughs on a single–axle tractor in homemade version are most often found with disc mechanisms. But also known are drum, shovel and auger plows. Indispensable for dressing fertilizer and fighting weeds.
How to mount a plough on a single axle tractor
Before you start setting up the plow, you need to prepare the single axle tractor itself and mount the plow to the single axle tractor. For this purpose, a single-axle tractor is placed at the place of work, the wheels with rubber tires are removed and steel trailing wheels are installed. This is done to reduce slipping of the walking block while ploughing because of soil resistance.
After that one proceeds to attachment of existing plough to attachment device of motobloc tractor. Do not tighten all the nuts on the attachment so you can adjust the machine. Then perform the fixation of the unit to the mounting bar of the power tiller with two steel pins. Once these operations are complete, the plow adjustment operation can begin.
Plow dimensions for a power tiller
The swiveling plow is characterized by having three structural planes: the lower horizontal plane of the skid, the lateral vertical plane of the skid, and the front mouldboard plane. If, after removing the share and mouldboard, the plough is placed on a horizontal table against a wall and its side surface is pressed against the vertical wall, the table surface will coincide with the lower horizontal plane of the skid, and the vertical wall with the lateral vertical plane of the skid.
- The first condition of a good plough is to locate the lower cutting edge of the mounted ploughshare 10 to 20 mm below the lower horizontal plane of the skid.
- The second condition for a good plough is that the lateral cutting edge of the fitted ploughshare makes a straight mowing line with the lateral cutting edge of the mouldboard, both of which must protrude 10mm beyond the lateral vertical plane of the skid.
- The third condition for a good plough is that the front working surface of the share and the mouldboard are flush and without a gap. They should have no protruding fasteners, but should be polished and shiny like a mirror.
After completion of works with plough it is recommended to clean polished surfaces from soil, water with machine oil or grease with Lytol-24 and rub with a rag. This will protect the polished surfaces from corrosion.
The fourth condition of a good plough is a flat back side of a ploughboard making an angle of 15-20 degrees, equal to the back angle of a mounted plough.
Side cutting edges of ploughshare and mouldboard also should have back corners of 1020 degree with the side plane of furrow, besides the side cutting edge of mouldboard can be rounded.
How to make a plow for a power tiller with your own hands
To do a certain job, you need a special piece of agricultural equipment (tool), such as a plow. There is quite a rational question what is cheaper, to buy a factory-made device, or to make your own plow at home?
The ploughs can be mounted on motor blocks. With the help of a motoblock you can perform any agricultural work, such as:

Making a two-tool plough
Unlike a single-hull plow, this one has two well-built frames with cutting elements. Due to the use of two frames, such a device can be processed virgin and large areas of land.
- Shape two mouldboards using steel plate thick enough and bend them. To reinforce on the inside, we’ll weld an iron strip.
- On the opposite sides we will weld uprights. Drill holes in them. In the future it will allow you to adjust the construction height.
- Next we mount the housing. For this we need pipes. Let’s cut them and weld the frame. Let’s attach the elements we created to the frame.
- We weld a flange to the construction and use it to connect the homemade machine to the tractor.

A plow with your own hands for a power tiller
A single–axle tractor is a multifunctional machine that helps farmers with a variety of agricultural tasks: mowing, planting crops, transporting goods, etc. д. But each of these tasks requires a special attachment. For example, for such a common operation as plowing, you need a plow. Even heavy and virgin soils can be cultivated with it. Ready-made equipment is quite expensive, but you can make a plow for a power tiller with your own hands. You need a little patience, materials and tools, which can be found in the workshop. Interestingly, in addition to agriculture, plows are also used for some types of underwater work, for laying cable, as well as in the search for oil.
A few rules for plowing with a power tiller
The well-adjusted single–axle tractor allows you to plow the soil evenly and to the desired depth. This will give an opportunity to get in the future a good harvest and simplify the work on the dacha.
When all the metal parts of the plow for the motor-block “Neva” are created, for the final assembly you will need a sheet of metal 50×50 cm and an electric welder. To the metal sheet, strictly observing the corners, lightly weld elements of the future plow. a side plate and ploughshare, to which fit the moldboard. If any discrepancy is found, use hammer to bring mouldboard to required condition and tack weld it to the rear part of ploughshare.

Inspect the entire structure and, if no problems are noticed, you can overhaul. The sheet metal on which the plow was assembled is detached from the structure by means of an “angle grinder” or a hammer and chisel. Next, you need to thoroughly clean the welds and sand down the plowshares and the blade with sandpaper. Once it is assembled and practically ready for use, it should be painted, especially the welded joints. This will not only give the plow an aesthetic appearance, but also to preserve the metal from the effects of corrosion, and hence significantly prolong the life of.
Although it is not an easy task, it is quite doable and within the power of any person with minimum experience in working with plough tools. For everything to succeed, you should adhere to the instructions and drawings, as well as make a competent adjustment of the entire design. Self-made plough is not only quite interesting, but also economical, since most of the material can be found at home by any master.
